A postdoctoral training position is now available in the Campfield Lab centered on investigating mechanisms of innate immunity to bacterial lung infection with a focus on novel therapeutic discovery and development. We are seeking a Ph.D.-trained scientist (Ph.D. in Immunology or related field) to join a collaborative, energetic, and growing lab. Experience and expertise in immunology, host defense, and animal modeling of pulmonary and immunologic diseases would be highly desired. Ideal candidates will have a track record of research excellence, creativity, and mentorship experience. Highly successful candidates will have the potential to develop independent projects and pursue funding to advance an independent research career. The Campfield Laboratory is located within the Rangos Research Center on the Lawrenceville campus of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
