Job Description
  • This position will be responsible for providing support for College of Optometry students, ranging from recruitment to graduation, as well as supporting alumni and community engagement.
  • They will also respond to general enrollment questions (on the phone and in person) regarding financial aid, admissions, registration, and student accounts.
  • Assist with course registration, lab schedules, non-academic problem solving, academic progress, and coordinating tutoring services.
  • Communicate with potential students, review student applications, schedule and moderate interviews, process admissions paperwork and attend recruitment events.
  • Manage and implement ways to engage alumni and community partners.
  • Assist with communications and marketing for alumni programs. Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan programming and create events for alumni and community partners.
  • Attend local and regional alumni and community events. Work on projects and other special duties as assigned

Shift

40 hours/week; must be able to work some evenings/weekends for student recruitment, alumni, or community events

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and previous experience in student financial aid, student accounts, admissions, or closely related field preferred.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings/weekends for student recruitment, alumni, or community events.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: Up to $18.77 per hour
