Job Summary

The department of Cancer Clinic Services seeks a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement ( QAPI) Program Coordinator to support the Markey Cancer Center's mission of continuously improving the quality of patient care, research and training through a comprehensive review and evaluation process.

This position will ensure Markey's compliance with the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and support operational performance standards to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care, while preserving and enhancing the dignity, humanity, and knowledge of the patients served. The Commission on Cancer (CoC) is an accredited program through the American College of Surgeons that guides and seeks to raise the standard of cancer care by supporting its accredited healthcare facilities.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Experience in working within a highly collaborative healthcare setting. Experience in providing professional/technical training. Experience with working in Microsoft systems – MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree, plus seven years experience in community or hospital-based employment preferred. Experience with CoC reporting databases ( CQIP, CP3R, SAR, PAR) preferred.
