Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center's Kentucky Cancer Registry is seeking a qualified tumor registrar (Abstractor Coordinator Senior Regional) to conduct data reporting for a portion of small, acute care hospitals across the state. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining reporting procedures including access of cancer records (either in person or remotely, if available), case finding, and abstracting while maintaining excellent quality. The position may also assist in abstracting non-hospital facility cases or helping with special studies as requested. Will participate in quality audits and correction of data as needed.
This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement.

Advanced Computer Skills Including: MS Windows, Excel, Electronic Medical Records Systems, web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome or MS Edge, Experience with medical terminology, coding or medical records. Cancer coding desired.
