The Occupational Therapy Program within the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences invites applications for a 12-month Assistant/Associate Professor of Professional Practice appointment to also serve as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) for the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree at Texas Christian University (TCU).
The responsibilities for the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) include developing, organizing and managing the clinical fieldwork component of the OTD curriculum. The AFWC will collaborate with and train fieldwork educators for delivering innovative clinical education experiences and will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned teaching supporting the OTD curriculum depending on area of expertise; participate in departmental and other institutional service activities supporting the academic missions of the University. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Texas, have earned a Doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, EdD or equivalent), a minimum of two years clinical experience which includes supervising professional occupational therapy fieldwork students (five years preferred). Prior experience as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator with post-baccalaureate teaching responsibilities also preferred.
