Job Summary
Reporting to the District Director of Curriculum and Education Planning, the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Educational Planning is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Curriculum and Educational Planning processes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Manages the Curriculum and educational planning process and maintains the curriculum software management system for credit and non-credit
- Reviews and evaluates curriculum proposals (credit and non-credit) for compliance with state guidance and internal practice; and assists with the development and evaluation of the College's core curriculum
- Submits for state approval all credit and non-credit curriculum changes (including core curriculum)
- Reviews audit of curriculum actions for approved curriculum proposals
- Collaborates with Academic Support Services in the implementation of all curricular revisions, deletions, and/or additions
- Reviews and manages the College's master syllabi and ensures state compliance
- Reviews and submits program data to the Texas Workforce Commission Eligible Training Provider portal and provides appropriate reporting regarding submissions
- Collaborates with Curriculum and Educational Planning staff to support the insideTCC intranet site and ensure up-to-date information for activities, task forces, and committees supported by the department
- Assists with production of the College catalog (credit and non-credit) and serves as the back-up administrator for the catalog software management system
- Prepares curriculum reports and dashboards
- Conducts curriculum trainings and presentations for the College community
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College
- Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
- Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College
Works under the general supervision of the District Director of Curriculum and Education Planning
*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Two (2) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Doctoral degree
- Degree in higher education administration
- Experience teaching in higher education or developing higher education curriculum
- Experience working in a community college environment
- Skilled with highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
