Tenure-Track Electrical Systems Engineering Technology Instructor
Richland Community College is seeking applicants for the Full-Time Electrical Systems Engineering Technology Instructor (Tenure-Track) position. The tenure-track faculty member is responsible for planning, preparing, implementing, teaching, and evaluating classroom and laboratory instruction in the areas of Electrical and Instrumentation that include motor controls, process controls, motion controls, PLC’s, etc. The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and techniques to enhance student learning.
Primary duties include in-person classroom and online teaching; curriculum and course development; assessment of student learning; program promotion and student recruitment; and participation in college-wide initiatives. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, the ability to work in teams, and the flexibility to teach day or evening hours at the College. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment. Other responsibilities include participating in assigned college committees and taskforces.
Opportunities for overload and summer teaching available.
