Diagnostic and Interventional positions in Southern California
North Coast Imaging is a small, fully physician owned hospital based private practice with 10 radiologists located in the Temecula Valley, about an hour and a half from Los Angeles and an hour north of San Diego. Both Diagnostic and combined IR/DR opportunities are available. Fellowship training is preferred but not required. The ideal Interventional candidate will be fellowship trained or well experienced in Interventional Radiology in addition to providing Diagnostic Radiology services. However, our practice has a great deal of flexibility and can entertain candidates with varying skills and desires across the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology spectrum.
We offer a competitive salary and time off with benefits, as well as many different internal moonlighting options including weekends and pay-per-click reading at your leisure from home.
We can accommodate varying employment options, with the following tracks available:
- Preferred - Full time partnership tracks (with negotiable time-to-partner options based on experience and expertise)
- Full time employed tracks.
- Part time tracks with flexible scheduling.
We read a wide breadth of exams from different subspecialities, and our diverse fellowship trained staff allows us to help one another out on a daily basis. All in house radiologists typically perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture. Other IR can be performed by the group's IR physicians based on DR comfort level and experience. The majority of our IR is non-vascular, with the exception of dialysis catheter access, IVC filters, and embolizations for trauma and GI bleed.
Our region is growing rapidly, as is the demand for our service. Our group currently has three stable hospital contracts each within 15 miles of one another, including a level II trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, and non-radiology residency programs. We have two major hospital expansions currently underway and the third planned in the next few years. The majority of our practice is low to medium acuity ED and inpatient scans. There is some basic outpatient work and no mammo. We currently cover both DR and IR for the hospital 24/7 with approximately 1/3 of our time spent reading from home. Plans are in progress to begin overnight teleradiology coverage. Part time DR only candidates could spend a higher proportion of time reading from home.
As for Temecula, the area is a beautiful wine country with great schools, bustling downtown, and a variety of outdoor activities. Housing prices are affordable for southern California, and there are several options ranging from condominiums to estate properties.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Candidates will be required to have a California medical license and be Board Certified. ACLS certification is required for Interventional radiologists.
