Duties & Responsibilities:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in photography, computer science or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Must be familiar with digital technology as it pertains to installing, configuring and maintaining digital equipment software and hardware.
Other Preferences for Consideration
The Specialist should be familiar with various pieces of technical equipment, able to maintain appropriate hardware and software, including, cleaning cameras, scanners, calibrating color monitors, as well as solving minor technical problems. The Specialist will train student interns to assist in capturing images, organizing and assigning metadata.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Digitization Specialist is responsible for capturing, reformatting, and producing high quality images as digital files for online quality and preservation.
- He/she will analyze images for quality and metadata compliance, carrying out vital quality assurance checks and apply quality control measures to ensure color accuracy and scale of representation.
- The Specialist will maintain appropriate hardware and software, including, cleaning cameras, scanners, calibrating color monitors, other specialized equipment as well as solving minor technical problems.
