Description
The Department of Psychology at Lafayette College invites applications for an Introduction to Psychological Science Lab Associate. This is an ongoing, half-time, non-tenure track position that begins on August 21, 2024. Applicants should have a master's degree or higher in Psychology or a related field, a dedication to undergraduate education and to working with undergraduate students, a commitment to teach the scientific method as applied to psychological science, and strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is strongly preferred. More information about the department is available at http://psychology.lafayette.edu.

In collaboration with the faculty of the Psychology Department and the Introduction to Psychological Science Lab Coordinator, the Lab Associate is responsible for the following: Teaching four Lab sections of PSYC 110 each semester; Supervising undergraduate laboratory assistants for those sections; Coordinating with instructors of the other Psyc 110 Lab sections and the Psyc 110 Lecture sections; Other duties associated with being a lab instructor.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is strongly preferred
