KEMMERER VILLAGE FOUNDATION, INC JOB DESCRIPTION
DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT
I. Definition
The Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc Director of Financial Development is primarily responsible for presenting the Kemmerer Village Foundation's mission to individuals, churches and other organizations. In addition, the Director of Financial Development will contact targeted individual donors and non-donors to increase giving. The purpose being to increase the financial support to the Foundation via presentations before churches, individuals, and other organizations. The Director of Financial Development is directly supervised by the Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc Board of Directors.
II. Responsibilities
- Works under the Kemmerer Village Foundations, Inc Board of Directors
to plan, develop and execute strategies for obtaining private donations, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donations.
- Work in cooperation with the Kemmerer Village, Inc Executive Director to assess and
identify the needs of Kemmerer Village, Inc.
- Work with the Kemmerer Village, Inc Executive Director in presenting information on
Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc activities and fundraising to the Kemmerer Village, Inc Board of Directors and the Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc.
- Ensures the execution and management of a comprehensive giving program through
leadership and long-term vision.
- Identify speaking engagements on and off campus which will promote the Mission of the
Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc such as churches, civic and other organizations and foundations to facilitate donations.
- Arrange meetings with individual donors on and off campus to promote the Mission of
the Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc and facilitate donations.
- The Director of Financial Development will be responsible for the identification,
cultivation, education and solicitation of appropriate donors and building the constituency base.
- Maintain and update the Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc donor software database.
Utilize the database to:
- Track incoming donations.
- Sort and organize donor information to facilitate targeted mailings, social media contacts and other forms of communication.
- Sort, organize and analyze Foundation giving information to assess efficiency and effectiveness of fundraising efforts and present clearly formatted reports to Foundation Board at least Quarterly, or as requested.
- Sort and organize donor information to format planned contact with donors, in person and phone.
- Oversee timely and accurate completion of Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc's
accounting and legal functions. Ensure effective communication of the status of the Foundation's financial status and any pertinent legal information to the Foundation Board of Directors.
- Maintain effective contact with the identified Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc
investment advisors.
- Create and deliver appropriate recognition for all donors.
- Maintain Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc operations per the established and approved
Annual budget.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the Kemmerer Village Foundation, Inc
Board of Directors at least monthly via email and at least quarterly via zoom and/or in person meetings. Facilitate and organize meetings. Write meeting minutes under the direction of the Foundation Secretary, distribute minutes for review to Foundation directors.
- Create and facilitate delivery of marketing materials for Kemmerer Village Foundation,
Inc, including print and virtual materials.
- Encourage visitations to Kemmerer Village campus and Camp Carew and serve as host
and tour guide.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings and some
overnight travel.
- Supervise, manage, and coach department staff, in any.

III. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Mission of Kemmerer Village, Foundation, Inc
- Possess strong leadership skills.
- Possess and utilize good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a willingness and ability to work in a team relationship with Kemmerer Village, Inc staff and other mission partners.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with groups and individuals.
- Experience in fund raising, such as presentations, public relations, marketing and capitol campaigns.
- Experience in database management and basic fiscal accounting (Microsoft Excel and database).
- Possess skills in working independently, maintaining office space and operations independently.
- Possess skills in managing social media, video conferencing, graphic design software.
