Essential Job Functions
  • Leads the university's online professional training development processes, including maintaining detailed training project plans, monitoring deliverables are completed on time, in scope and meet quality standards as well as communicating the status of projects
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the creation of new training, revisions to existing training and the conversion of professional training programs from self-paced to instructor-led training
  • Assists with identifying, selecting, and applying the appropriate content, media, assessment tools, learning techniques and instructional strategies to accomplish training goals, objectives and participant outcomes
  • Develops and maintains instructional materials for online professional training programs such as participant and facilitator guides, training activities and exercises, etc.
  • Builds master templates for online professional training and monitors online training to maintain quality requirements, as well as troubleshoots instructional technology issues
  • Mentors online professional training SMEs and instructors in the effective and appropriate use of technology for delivery of training, including the use of the learning management system, media, collaboration tools and other instructional technologies
  • Utilizes online training program evaluation results and feedback from instructors, participants, SMEs, and client partners to modify existing training materials and programs
  • Manages online professional training program schedules, prepares reports and evaluative tools
  • Maintains knowledge of new instructional technologies and features, and informs stakeholders as appropriate
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in instructional design, instructional technology, training and development, learning management systems, project management or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or greater in education, instructional design or a related field of study
  • Experience working in higher education or training and development
  • Three or more years of experience with online course development or training design
  • Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System
  • Experience with Salesforce Customer Relationship Management System
  • Demonstrated project management skills
