General Summary

Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for teaching courses in chemistry offered in the Day School on the Fort Wayne Campus specific to the life and physical sciences, particularly General Chemistry I or II lecture or laboratory or Introductory Chemistry.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach as needed in traditional day programs.
  • Fulfill teaching requirements as outlined in course objectives and Indiana Tech Policy & Procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of master's degree, doctorate preferred, in appropriate discipline
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous teaching experience on the college level preferred.
  • Strong technological aptitude to manage course materials and grade calculation; knowledge of Canvas, Microsoft Office, and web-based teaching tools, preferred
Experience:
  • Experience in qualitative or quantitative research as well as use of the Scientific Method in the relevant field
  • Teaching Experience Preferred
  • Student-centered teaching approaches
Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a typical classroom environment.
