Manager of Events & Client Services
Job Summary: The Manager of Events & Client Services is responsible for the design and implementation of platforms and services that add value to client and referral relationships beyond the provision of legal services, with a particular focus on client events and engagement with general business and industry organizations to which our clients belong.
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Responsibilities
Event Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all in-person and virtual client events, which include educational programs, networking and social gatherings, trade show exhibits, and firm strategic and business development retreats.
Sponsor Relationships and Professional Association Engagement: Oversee firm and practice memberships and sponsorships of key business, industry, charitable, and civic organizations with an eye on return on investment, including tracking of engagement, relationship maintenance, budget, benefit analysis, and execution of deliverables.
Client Relationship Management (CRM) Platform: Serve on the implementation team for the firm's new CRM system to be implemented in 2023, train on the new system, evaluate best practices, and optimize use of features.
Client Service Research and Strategy: Undertake various data collection and analysis projects designed to reveal best practices in client service, client retention and expansion, and referral appreciation, including: cross-selling; competitor analysis; referral and alumni relations; and client service and retention initiatives.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience, with event planning experience the top priority and a professional services firm background a plus
Undergraduate degree in marketing, public relations with an event planning component, general business, or related concentration
Ability to occasionally work evening events and, less frequently, travel to out-of-town events
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
